Trainers

Tony Gormley

In the fifteen years I've been an active (or semi active) gym user I have blundered, encountered set backs, injured myself and given up multiple times. All of this was largely down to my own stupidity in the gym – either training at, say, sub-optimum safety or ineffectively or both.

I therefore offer basic weightlifting courses largely centred around stupidity avoidance, i.e. learning to lift with proper form at an appropriate volume and allowing adequate recovery. I make sure you are training effectively and getting targeted results, whatever they may be.

I would recommend myself as a trainer to anyone new to lifting free weights who may be worried about lifting with proper form and/or is intimidated by the gym environment. I'm a friendly sort.

Oh, I am also a competitive powerlifter with a Wilks score of 360, so if you're interested in the crazier side of things I can help you with that too.
